The Tembo Tusker was recently presented to Australian council representatives and fleet operators as part of an industry event focused on the future of operational vehicle fleets.
Displayed alongside a range of electric vehicles across multiple categories, the Tusker gave stakeholders a direct opportunity to assess its suitability for real-world council and commercial applications.

Designed for practical deployment, the Tusker combines capability with operational efficiency:
• Up to 510 km range*, supporting full-day duty cycles
• 330 Nm torque and over 1 tonne payload* for working conditions
• Up to 12× lower operating cost at fleet scale compared to diesel alternatives
The vehicle is engineered to integrate into existing fleet operations without requiring changes to usage patterns.
A key focus of the session was practical implementation — moving beyond strategy into real-world deployment, supported by testing, cost modelling, and operational validation.
In this context, the collaboration between Tembo and Help Me Buy an EV (HMBAEV) was presented as a structured, hands-on pathway to fleet electrification in Australia.
This includes:
• Vehicle delivery and collection for full on-site assessments
• On-site consultations aligned with duty cycles and operational needs
• TCO and ROI sessions comparing current fleets with electrified alternatives
• Demonstration of real-world use cases, including towing and payload testing
• Strong aftersales support, parts availability, and direct factory connection
• Consistent communication, reporting, and responsive support throughout deployment
This approach enables organisations to evaluate electrification through operational performance, cost structure, and deployment readiness — grounded in evidence rather than assumption.
The Tembo Tusker continues to serve as a working platform for fleets operating in demanding environments.
