Path 01

EV Conversion

For workshop technicians and partners who install and service Tembo EV conversion kits.

A four-part path from the fundamentals to keeping a converted vehicle running for years.

    Overview of the process, foundation & fundamentals

    • How an electric vehicle (EV) works
    • Safety around a high-voltage vehicle
    • Understanding all EV components
    • Overall layout of components
    • Needed tooling

    Detailed hands-on conversion installation process

    • Which OEM parts need to be taken out
    • Which OEM parts need to be re-used
    • Which EV components require pre-assembly before install
    • Determine assembly order (HV components, LV components, fluid hoses, wire harness)

    How to test the conversion & troubleshoot

    • Checking HV connections
    • Testing grounding
    • Testing isolation resistance (meggering)
    • Starting up the 12V system via an external power supply to limit current (service case)
