Tembo e-LV achieves a high standard of environmental sustainability in conducting our business as a competitive organization to the mining industry by providing electrical light vehicles.

Tembo e-LV

  • Maintain an Environmental Management System based on ISO 14001 and ISO 26000 requirements.
  • Are committed to:
    • The protection of the environment, including prevention of pollution and other specific commitment(s) relevant to the context of our organisation.
    • Fulfil our compliance obligations with relevant environmental legislation, regulations and other relevant requirements.
    • Continual improvement of our environmental management system based on ISO14001 and ISO 26000 to enhance environmental performance.
    • Continuously improving the processes and prevention of pollution to minimize the environmental impacts resulting from our operations.

 

  • Encourage environmentally friendly practices and the re-cycling of waste materials.
  • Communicate with all stakeholders including local government and community on environmental issues and where appropriate, contributing to the development of policies, legislation and regulations that may affect our operations.
  • Provide adequate reference to the nature, scale and environmental impacts of our activities, products or services.
  • Raise environmental awareness of our employees and training to make them aware of their environmental responsibilities and accountabilities. Act in accordance with compliance measures introduced and developed by the company.
  • Use suitable contractors to dispose of waste generated by our processes.
  • Appropriately process any waste generated by our sub-contractors on-site.
  • Define the environmental goals and objectives at our Strategic Plan and review them during subsequent meetings.
  • Deal with any breaches of this policy using our Disciplinary Procedure.

Tembo e-LV does not employ or tolerate illegal labour practices. These include in particular:

  • knowingly employing persons under the age of 16;
  • using forced or involuntary prison labour;
  • requiring a person to present government-issued identification, passport or work permit to Tembo e-LV as a condition of employment ;
  • knowingly employing persons under the age for completing compulsory education in accordance with local legislation.
